Data Recovery

So, you just started your computer and got the shocking message No Operating System Found!
As is so eloquently said in "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" ..... DON'T PANIC!!!
Although there are many possible causes, the most common is a bad sector on the hard drive. With luck, this bad sector is in the Operating System portion of the drive allowing recovery of all data.

First of all, turn off the computer and do not attempt to restart it. This will limit the damage and facilitate the data recovery process. The computer may actually start if rebooted; however, you may experience strange operation or crashes. All of this indicates drive damage and running it further only increases the damage to the point where nothing is recoverable.
Next, Call us and we can make arrangements to examine the drive and determine the extent of the damage and what can be recovered.

Of course, loosing a hard drive is not really such a big deal since you have a backup of all your data.....right?
